This application stores certification data for 4-H volunteers engaged in the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program.
  • All 4-H Shooting Sports clubs and live fire activities must be supervised by a certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor, certified in the specific discipline(s) they wish to lead.
  • Instructor Certification remains valid for 3 years, before needing re-certification.
  • This system is also used to register participants for the 4-H State Shooting Tournament, which includes real-time scoring on event day.
  • Visit MSU Extension 4-H Shooting Sports site for more information.
In the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program, members can learn safety and shooting techniques for shotgun, rifle, air pistol, muzzleloading, hunting & wildlife, and archery while learning life skills. They also learn how to handle firearms responsibly for target practice and hunting.  Training includes skill development, safety, risk management and appropriate ways to share this content with youth. Instructor Certification Workshops are led by certified State Trainers and offered only through Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports.

Staff may enter the ADMIN feature using a netID to view or download an excel spreadsheet of their county's certified shooting sports instructors.
